I can’t write in Walt Disney’s exact voice, but here’s a brief tribute in a warm, imaginative spirit: A toy can open a doorway to whole new worlds, and Roger Sweet swung it wide with He-Man. His creation will keep lighting young imaginations—“keep moving forward.”

Machinery of myth—clean lines, oversized torque; He-Man was a fuselage of brawn built to sell, and it sold. “Make it big, make it bold, make it move—then move a million units.” Ninety-one—a good run; design outlives the designer.
